Zone Technique in Culver City CA

Chiropractor Culver City CA Michael Zalben Zone Technique

In 2001, Dr. Peter Goldman became my chiropractor, mentor, teacher. One of the most sought after chiropractors in professional mixed martial arts, Dr. Goldman taught me and coached me to become a true healer. Since it’s not taught in Chiropractic Colleges, the technique is passed on from one doctor to another. I had the good fortune to not only learn from one of the top Zone doctors in the country, but also from other doctors who had trained directly with Dr. Fleet, who created Zone Healing in 1931.

Masses of people would routinely flood his office from all over the world, never disappointed with the miraculous results they’d experienced. Today’s Zone doctors regularly re-produce amazing results just as Dr. Fleets did so many years ago. For over 20 years, I have practiced Zone Healing to the exclusion of ALL other chiropractic techniques with phenomenal results that speak for themselves—just take a look at my patient testimonials.

Dr. Fleet’s discovery was a major breakthrough in the field of healing, and specifically in the practice of Chiropractic. He taught that there are only SIX kinds of disturbances that can affect the human body. These are:

GLANDULAR, ELIMINATIVE, NERVOUS, DIGESTIVE, MUSCULAR, and CIRCULATORY.

According to Dr. Fleet, even the most complex diseases and disorders are directly linked to imbalances in these six systems. Certified Zone Doctors are trained in restoring balance to these systems, and when fully balanced, their patient’s recovery from illness and injury naturally manifests and health returns.

The science behind the technique is based on complex neurology that we’ll break down into simple concepts. The human body is composed of TRILLIONS of cells. Each cell is organized into one of the six systems. These systems are controlled (and maintained) by six neurological centers within the brain. Dr. Fleet referred to these control centers, located deep within the brain, as the Primary Brain Centers because they control the six systems responsible for all healing.

While there are many brain centers that control numerous bodily functions, Dr. Fleet discovered that in order for us to heal from any illness or injury, any disease or dysfunction, that only six brain centers need to be brought back into balance, functioning in unison. Balancing the six brain centers is accomplished through a series of spinal adjustments that unlock the full healing potential that exists within all of us.

The Brain centers form in the embryonic stage of life and develop from the dorso-medial ectoderm of the embryo. They develop simultaneously with the systems that they control. So, as the zones develop in the embryo, so do the brain centers that control them.

In his book, “The Body Electric,” Dr. Robert O. Becker, M.D. states that the human body may be properly classified as an ELECTRICAL ORGANISM. Therefore, every cell, tissue, organ, and organ system has an electrical charge. These charges can be negative (-) or positive (+) depending on their make up and function. Based on Dr. Becker’s research, we know that the six Primary Brain Centers represent the POSITIVE POLE (+) of the central nervous system (CNS), and the spinal cord represents the NEGATIVE POLE (-). His research explains how Chiropractic adjustments that stimulate the spinal cord travels to the brain and balance the Primary Brain Centers.

Dysfunctional brain centers is mostly due to stress. Stresses that effect the nervous system can be mental/emotional, physical, or chemical in nature and begin at birth. Correcting this dysfunction begins with an examination to determine which brain centers are out of sync with the systems under their control. Once the imbalanced Zone(s) have been located, the doctor may adjust up to four segments of the spinal cord which reflexively stimulates its corresponding brain center, “resetting” it so to speak. When the dysfunctional brain center is reset, the other Brain Centers come back into resonance with each other, they begin to function in unison, and the brain becomes balanced. It is only in this balanced state that the brain centers transmit the neural signals necessary for the body to heal itself. Therefore, the six Primary Brain Centers must be balanced in order for any healing to take place.

Imbalanced brain function is one of the most common and pernicious causes of physical degeneration. Spinal adjusting to effect brain function has been scientifically validated by Dr. Heidi Haavik who has dedicated her entire career to chiropractic research. Her scientific findings prove that chiropractic adjustments effect brain function. Dr. Haavik’s cutting edge research performed over two decades validates the effects that chiropractic adjustments have on brain function, while Dr. Fleet’s discovery gives us the ability to locate the parts of the brain that are imbalanced and where to administer the spinal adjustments necessary to restore it back to a balanced state .

6 Zones

Zone 1 - Glandular System

The glandular center of your brain controls and regulates all of the glands in your body. This includes the thyroid, adrenals, pineal gland, pituitary gland, uterus and ovaries, prostate and gonads, and other glands. The glands in your body are responsible for many functions, including memory, appetite regulation, relaxation, sleep, energy, and more.

  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Headache Migraine
  • Thyroid Issues
  • Weak Immunity
  • Insomnia
  • Bad Memory
  • Poor Concentration
  • Poor Appetite
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Reproductive Issues
  • Suppressed Creativity

Zone 2 - Eliminative System

The eliminative system includes the lungs, kidneys, bladder, and skin. These organs are involved with waste elimination and play an essential role in reducing toxin buildup in your body. This turn helps to strengthen your immune system function, reduce bloating, and create optimal respiratory function.

  • Allergies/Congestion
  • Sinus Infections
  • Asthma
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Hives/Rash
  • Psoriasis
  • Kidney Issues
  • Bladder Issues
  • Constipation
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Diarrhea

Zone 3 - Nervous System

Zone 3 comprises both the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) and the peripheral nervous system (all other nerves in the body). Each nerve in the body is responsible for different functions, including sight, digestion, mood, sleep, the reproductive system, hormonal balance, hearing, and more. Balancing this zone can help promote a healthy immune system, improve mood and sleep, and increase energy, calm feelings, and relaxation. In addition, it can help balance the hormonal system.

  • Hearing/Sight Issues
  • Inability to Sleep
  • Sciatica
  • Arm/Hand or Leg/Foot Tingling
  • Hyperactivity/ADHD
  • Cold Hands/Feet
  • Hormonal Imbalance
  • Anxiety/Nervousness
  • Extreme Worry/Fear

Zone 4 - Digestive System

The digestive system is what makes up Zone 4. This system is responsible for taking nutrients from the food we eat and breaking them down to provide cells energy. Balancing this zone and maintaining a proper diet may help improve liver, intestine, and gallbladder health, decrease food sensitivities, and boost your energy. Additionally, it can help restore a normal appetite.

  • Compromised Immune System
  • Problems With Appetite
  • Sensitivity to Foods
  • Weight Gain or Loss
  • Problems with Digestion

Zone 5 - Muscular System

The muscular system is composed of all the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues which allow you to move. This system also impacts balance, flexibility, and strength and directly influences your spinal alignment and nerve connections. Balancing this zone can help restore proper range of motion and movement, improve flexibility, eliminate chronic pain, and improve posture. In addition, it can help restore your center of gravity and expedite muscle recovery.

  • Weakness/Fatigue
  • Poor Balance/Posture
  • Joint Stiffness
  • Loss of Flexibility
  • Inflammation
  • Muscle Spasms
  • Neck/Back Pain
  • Upper/Lower Extremity Pain

Zone 6 - Circulatory System

Your circulatory system is driven by your heart pumping blood through your veins, arteries, and capillaries. During this process, the blood brings nutrients and oxygen to your cells and carries away waste. Bringing balance to this system can help normalize your blood pressure, encourage proper circulation, improve heart health and healthy blood vessels.

  • High Blood Pressure
  • Cold Hands/Feet
  • pH Balance
  • Low Blood Pressure
  • Arrhythmias
  • Palpitations
  • Migraines/Headaches
  • Thyroid Issues
  • Poor Circulation
  • Edema/Swelling
  • Fever/Temperature
